Rumba was bred, born and raised in our program and there is so much good to say about her! Solid and sensible, Rumba is an old soul in a 6-year-old package. She seems to have the motto of “steady as she goes” and is a big girl with a calm and deliberate personality. She thinks her way through sticky spots, is surefooted, and easy to be around in every way! For the past year, Rumba has been proving herself golden for riders of various experience levels, and has been enjoyed on the ranch by family and guests. She will pick you up from the mounting block and doesn’t mind if you want to ride in the front, back or middle of the outing! She rides well alone or in a group and saddles up solid as can be with extended time off. Or you can skip the saddle and just hop on bareback in a halter. Rumba is kind and thoughtful with our kiddos handling her on the ground and drops her head down low to be led by them. She has a solid handle with good transitions, a neck rein and willing responses off your leg, stop and backup off of your seat, and a slow, easy pivot. She is great on trails, easy behind cows, and enjoyable to ride inside or out. She wants to please and is the same every day! She has a way of winning you over with her big gentle heart and we think she will make a great addition to a family or individual wanting a sweet-tempered companion for many years to come.
