NEW TO 2026: Friday Preview of Sale Horses!

Join us on Friday, June 5th, 2026 for an EXPANDED PREVIEW of the sale horses. The doors to the Powderhorn Arena will open at 9:00am on Friday and an outdoor preview of the sale horses will begin at 10:30am. Horses will be shown in hip number order and will have the option to show in open arena, on obstacles, and on cattle. The preview will be LIVESTREAMED by DV Auction for those who cannot attend in-person. Concessions will be open for lunch, limited bleacher seating will be provided. Bring your notebook and a camp chair, and get ready for an afternoon of horse watching!

NOTE: This expanded preview will replace the traditional Saturday morning preview. Saturday morning will now be open to visit with riders, take a final look at horses, and finalize your shopping list.

After the preview, our Friday evening events will kick off with a barbecue dinner served at 5;30pm ($20/plate while supplies last). Live music will be provided by Matt Robertson and Sam Munsick beginning at 6:00pm, and the evening will be open to meet & greet with Diamond-McNabb crew and sale guests.

Sale Day: Saturday, June 6th, 2026

Doors to the arena will open at 9:00am. Horses and riders will be on-site to visit, answer questions, and help you finalize your shopping list! Concessions open at 8:00am and a full barbecue lunch will be served beginning at 11:00am ($20/plate while supplies last).

Sale announcements will be made at 12:30pm and the first horse of the afternoon will be brought into the ring to open the sale at 1:00pm sharp. We expect to proceed directly through to the final horse without interruption. The sale is usually over by 5:00pm.

Be sure to wander through the Ken McNabb Horsemanship and Powderhorn Ranch Gifts storefronts throughout sale weekend, as well as booths from select vendors!

Sunday, June 7th, 2026

We'd love to have you join us back at the arena at 9:30am on Sunday for Cowboy Church service, with coffee, worship, and a message! Staff will be available to help load out horses throughout the day.

Auctioneer and Bidding Methods

Please remember that you may have to contact your bank or credit card company prior to the sale to make payment arrangements. Most companies will be closed on sale day to the weekend date.

Once again we expect to welcome Ty Thompson of Billings, MT to call the sale. Ty is a well-experienced, professional and reputable auctioneer. Among his credentials is the title of winning the Livestock Marketing Association's World Livestock Auctioneer Championship, and he is well-sought after in both the equine and livestock industries.

We do not allow reserve prices, 'no-sales' or 'pass outs' on horses over 3 years of age. You can bid with confidence knowing that all saddlehorses aged 4 and older WILL SELL to the highest bidder as long as the minimum bid of $2,000 has been met! Please be sure to read the terms and conditions of the current sale, as well as the details of our Good Fit Guarantee, included in the Terms of the Sale. These terms apply to all bidders, even if you don't read them (so please read them). Thank you.

Internet bidding and telephone bidding will both be available- scroll down for more information! We find that it is best for people to attend the sale in person but if you can't make it, we will do our best to help you navigate the shopping process remotely.

Online Bidding

Online bidding will be hosted by DV Auction, which streams a live video and audio feed of the sale to your computer or phone. If you would like to bid online, please pre-register at www.dvauction.com in advance of sale day. A link to the DVAuction registration page will be provided here in May of 2026. Registration is free and there are no additional fees for Diamond-McNabb online bidders and buyers! Learn more about online bidding at www.DVAuction.com.

Phone Bidding

Phone bidding is accommodated through a live conference call hosted by a representative who will help to keep you informed of the sale ring bidding and represent your phone bids as the horses sell through the auction. Phone bidders will need to PREREGISTER with us prior to sale weekend, using the link below. The registration fee is $10. Payment for horses purchased via phone will be settled after the auction, using a payment method of your choice. After you are registered, you will receive an email with your bidder number, plus detailed instructions on how to bid and what to expect.
