Diamond-McNabb Ranch Horses

Cowboy, Hip 58

2011 Red roan Gelding

It’s hard to say everything you need to about Cowboy. This is one of the best horses our breeding program has produced, and it only takes a glance to see why! Built and bred like a true-blue ranch horse, he has the mind and work ethic to back every inch of him. Cowboy is incredibly sweet and gentle in temperament, with ability and class galore. He is one smooth mover, with the grace of a small horse and the gaits of a big horse. He is gentle, gentle, gentle and was practically born a broke horse. Cowboy’s first experience dragging anything was to pull a calf elk nearly a 1/3 of a mile to the truck in a snow storm. He has been roped on in the pasture and branding pen, and has proven a natural. He has wrangled broodmares and colts on huge pasture, navigated some of the worst ground on the ranch, spent long days on the mountain, and worked gates in alleys. He is both cowy and patient with slow baby calves, and will track cows on his own. In the arena, he has a soft face, collects easily, spins correctly, moves every corner off your leg, and stops in the ground. If you could change one thing about Cowboy, you wouldn’t. He’s everything we are proud to produce and ride! Ridden by Hannah Gutenberger. FMI please call 307-298-5030, we’d be glad to answer questions.
